What are some interesting questions to ask a new guidance consular in a newspaper interview?
Q. I came up with a few questions like: A famous person once said, [find something to say like Humor is life]. What is your favorite joke? Guidance counselor guide, and inspire people. What person has or had inspired you? Who or what event inspired you to become a guidance consular; were you always a guidance consuler or did you have another job previously? According to Google, you went to Sam Sample University, one of thousands of unviersities. As a guidance consular you assist students in applying to college. How hard is to get into graduate programs to be a guidance counselor?
Q. I am graduating in May with my BS in speech pathology. I have decided I want to be a secondary guidance counselor does anyone know how competive is it to get into graduate programs? I have like a 3.2 do you think I would have a chance?

A. I'm not sure about the average gpa for incoming grad students in that major though please do check with the individual school's admissions office. It is most likely pretty competitive since there are not that many guidance counselor positions as it especially seems that they don't usually leave their jobs til retirement :) Congratulations in getting your degree in speech pathology! Not sure if the law is that guidance counselors need to have earned a teaching degree with some experience within a classroom setting before obtaining a job as a guidance counselor though it may depend on the state. Is it logical for an insider to seek guidance from an outsider?
Q. Does an outsiders guidance from experience benefit, or just contribute to more confusion for the insider? Who really knows more about the situation?

A. No one has the same expeience as anyone else. People may have "similiar" experiences and can "relate" with eachother, but any type of communication loses alot in translation from experience to verbalization. So, another's similiar experieneces can vaguely help advise a person, but the vast majorityof people learn best from there own mistakes. So, the outsider may just add to the confusion, and the insider probably knows more about the situation.
