A. 3-3+3*1=X X + 50= Y Y-50=? First to find X: 3-3+3*1=X Order of operations says to multiply before add or subtract, so 3 multiplied by 1 is done first...if the asterisk means exponent, well, 3 raised to the 1st is the same answer as 3 multiplied by 1. Following order of operations, we can put paranthesis in the equation like so: (3-3)+(3*1)=X Do the multiplication first: (3*1)=3 Then the subtraction: (3-3)=0 Then, plug in the answers to the equation like so: 0+3=X And we get: 3=X Now to find Y: X+50=Y And since X=3, then: 3+50=Y 53=Y Y-50=? Since Y=53, then: 53-50=3 The answer is 3. I can't really show much more work than that...it would take forever to scroll through.

How do I answer questions on a application form?
Q. A. If you repeatedly click on the black circular guy really fast your laser will shoot the bomb! If you are right handed I suggest holding the mouse still with your left hand and quickly clicking the mouse button with your right "pointer" finger (switch if left handed). That should do the trick no problem. Good Luck with the rest of the Quiz!

What do you answer during an interview when asked what are your weaknesses?
Q. What is it that employers want to hear. Like as if you answer "Oh, I am usually late to work" are they really looking for that. What am I supposed to answer. By the way, that was just an example, I have a great work ethic and take my jobs very seriously but, I don't know how to answer this question because if I say I don't have any weaknesses, wont that sound unrealistic. HELP!
Asked by TheLatinChick - Tue Sep 11 22:53:27 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. In an interview you can say whatever you feel comfortable and confident in saying. Its how you say something not what you say. Depending on the position, depends on your answers. Obviously don't go saying your major weakness is the primary role of the job. Like going for a sales interview and saying your one weakness is your shy! Confidence is what they are looking for. They don't want wishy washy people. They want people who know their faults and know how to over come them by delegating authority to make up for their weakness. That's a true sign of a leader.

What makes you qualified to answer questions about body piercings?
Q. I have enjoyed reading and answering questions here about body piercings and tattoos but I am a little disturbed as to what people actually think is correct or even helpful. Many times I have read how wonderful guns are for piercing and how one should use alcohol to heal their piercing. How frightening to think that some of these answers are thought of as the best answer! To those of you who answer and actually know what you are talking about, tell me how and why you know so much. Are you a professional body piercer (where is your shop)? Do you just have a lot of piercings? Are you just a really good listener and read everything you can about the subject? A. I have 23 body piercings and 11 tattoos. Before I do ANYTHING, I research it over and over again. A lot of my knowledge also comes from experience. (I mean, I HAVE done this 23 times.) I try to give the most informed information (regarding tats and piercings) as I possibly can, but I always end my spill by saying... "everyone is different and may heal differently."

He was on his cell phone more than he was off it. We pulled into a store ran by a lady who was proud of her reputation as real bit...well, you know the word that YA won't let me use. How to answer the infamous "How do you deal with a difficult customer?"?
Q. I always seem to blow it during an interview when that infamous "How do you deal with a difficult customer?" question comes up. What are some ways I can answer that without getting shot down at interviews?

A. With great patients. Listening respectfully till the customer has finished venting. Offer all the solutions that are available through me. If unable to satisfy the customer, reassure the customer that things will be worked out and seek guidance from my supervisor. If no compromise can be reached turn the customer over to my supervisor. If none available give them the corporate head quarters number.

How do I give a correct answer to a question that is already resolved with wrong answers?
Q. There was a question that says resolved about homeopathic remedies being FDA approved. All of the answers that I read said no - but in fact - homeopathic remedies are FDA approved. The person was given uninformed guesses. How does someone inform the asker or community of a more informed (correct) answer?
Asked by Joan W - Thu May 8 17:07:55 2008 - - 8 Answers - 1 Comments
A. If you can't contact the relevant person by email perhaps you could ask the same question yourself and include a comment to the effect that some people seem to be under the false impression that --- whereas the true and correct situation is that ---. You could then invite people to comment on your true and correct answer as a question is supposed to be a question and simply volunteering some information is not really a question.

How should I answer the biggest weakness question in an interview?
Q. I am currently looking for a paralegal position and I am nervous about answering the dreaded "What it your biggest weakness" question. What is a good answer that will not cost me the job?
Asked by ssavia114 - Fri Dec 12 10:56:04 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That is the trick question they love to get you with; always make a negative sound like a positive; e.g., I have a tendency to be too detailed, too focused, and do too many things at once; it's just innate but I am aware of it. Another trap is they get very friendly with you and encourage you to talk, be careful here and do not relax, answer questions but do not ramble like you're with a friend, stay focused all the time and never let your guard down. I lost jobs by being too relaxed and friendly...not realizing it was a trap.

How do I get more people to answer my questions?
Q. Can you guys give me some tips on how to get more people to answer my questions on Yahoo Answers? I usually only get about one or two answers per question and they're rarely helpful. What can I do differently?

What is the difference between top contributor and best answer on yahoo answers?
Q. What is the difference between top contributor and best answer on yahoo answers? I was chosen for having the best answer but then someone else was top contributor so I was just wondering the difference. Thanks!

A. A best answer is an award for giving a great answer to someone's question. A top contributor is a badge someone has under their avatar after they've earned a minimum amount of best answers in one to three categories.

How many different ways can a test be answered if there are 26 questions with the answer options of True, Fals?
Q. How many different ways can a test be answered if there are 26 questions with the answer options of True, False, and Leaving it blank? I've tried to figure this out and I think I have the right answer, but trying to submit it online it continues to say that it is incorrect. Also, could you explain how you figured it out.

A. The answer is 3^26, or 2,541,865,828,329. --- To see why, notice that if the test had only 1 question, then there are three possible ways to answer it: Mark the question true, mark it false, or leave it blank. If the test had two questions, then we know there are 3 ways to mark the first question; and for *each* of these 3, there are 3 ways to mark the second question. That is, we have the following options: TT, TF, TB FT, FF, FB BT, BF, BB So there are 3 * 3 = 9 ways to answer a test with two questions. If the test had three questions, then we know there are 9 ways to mark the first two questions. For *each* of these 9 ways, there are 3 ways to mark the third question. That is, we have the following options: TTT, TTF, TTB TFT,… [cont.]
