A. Hmm. An e-mail address for an author who could give you advice. What kind of advice do you need? Depending, different authors would be appropriate. Your best bet would be to find your favorite appropriate authors and search for websites at which to contact them. Most authors have them now. Otherwise contact the publishers. But it may be that emailing authors won't end up being much help. They may just tell you to take your vitamins and get plenty of sleep. Better to read a book on the subject regarding which you need help. [By the way -- I'm kidding with you a bit. And being told to take my vitamins and get plenty of sleep was advice that made me quite happy myself, though I suspect you are looking for something else. But I… [cont.]

A. It appears that the question period has expired. If you have received an answer that meets your needs, please choose one of those as a 'best answer.' If you haven't received a good answer for your question, you may want to consider the following, 1) Re-post your question. Newer questions get more activity on Yahoo! Answers than old ones. 2) If you do re-post your question, consider why it wasn't answered the first time. Could it be more specific? Could it be worded better? Were there grammatical or spelling errors? Was it in the best category? If it doesn't seem likely that re-posting your question will help you, then here's a listing of my favorite 'answer sites'. Maybe one of them will help you. Answers.com Bartleby Yahoo… [cont.]

Advice on a follow up email after interview?
Q. Hi. I had an interview last Tuesday to be a personal assistant to a family and it went very well. They said that they will be contacting me this past weekend with a decision but I have yet to hear anything. I sent a thank you card via mail last week. It is now Monday and I would like to send a follow up email, but would that be appropriate? If appropriate, what should email read? Thanks in advance!

A. Have it say something similar to the thank you card you sent. Say thanks again, and that you look forward to hearing from them soon.

before you end the email, what will you write?kindly advice or kindly advise?
Q. before we end our email and we are seeking advices form the counterparty, which 1 should we write? Kindly advice or Kindly advise?
Asked by IH - Wed Mar 5 21:54:32 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Advice is a noun. You can't use the word 'kindly' to describe 'advice', because kindly is an adverb, describing verbs, not nouns. Advise, on the other hand, is a verb, which typically means to give advice. You can use 'kindly advise', because, again, kindly (an adverb) describes verbs, which advise just so happens to be.

A. I don't really have any experience with paying for emails about work at home, but I would strongly advise you not to pay for them. Usually if you have to pay to work at home it is a scam. I just signed up for this website called Yuwie. It's a social networking website where you get paid to view profiles, post blogs, upload pictures, etc. It's really simple, you should check it out. A. Don't know, but I doubt it. I have, in the past, turned to three different branches of the CAB for advice and help on a handful of different issues, and have found them completely and utterly ineffectual. I have been given Dangerously misleading advice as 'gospel' from them, and have never heard any positive tales from anyone I personally know who has used them. Luckily, we know have the internet, and you are much more likely to find accurate advise, by doing a bit of research yourself. Good luck though, just be careful, and double check anything they tell you =)

I'm making an advice email. But I need some suggestions?
Q. Okay so, I've come to a realization that I've been really down latley and I've been looking for advice but since I dont have many friends (or people that I trust besides my family) It's been quite hard to find people to talk to. So I figured, what the heck - the internet must have at least one or two chat rooms for people who need advice. I was disapointed when I found none. So I've made a decision to help others in my case who have needed advice but never found the right person or place to go to (and I'm not that down that I need to be calling those help lines or anything). I just wanted someone to talk to. So I'm making an email (you can ask for it if you'd like to email your questions) and I'll be giving people advice through it. I just… [cont.]

A. Were you older I'd invite you to a chat room I have that's exclusively for Y!A "addicts." There's no filth allowed there and we often lean on one another for advice or just for laughs and cheering one another. how to open an "advice" column of chat room without the use of "advice" is tricky and does not serve your cause well. IF you accepted Y!A user mails I might invite you to my spare chat room for your own use. It's unpopulated these days. You would have to receive user mail so I don't get reported for "Spam." And I'm off to DJ @ the club in 20 minutes.

Does anyone have some good advice / tips for keeping an email account secure?
Q. One of my Yahoo! 360 friends sent me an invite today saying that her email account had been hacked so she got a new profile. I have no idea if that is her or the hacker, who guessed her password, because we're not that close. What can you do to prevent someone from guessing your password? I do change mine every so often but is this enough? Should I remove this friend and deny the invite? Is my account at risk?

A. use 2 capital letters, 2 lower case letters, 2 numbers, 2 symbols. have it be nothign personal at all (ie random) and make sure its about 12 characters long. and change it like every 30 days. dont make your password after your pet, kid, parents, husband, wife whatever. -_-

Starting an "Anonymous Advice" Email?
Q. So, Basically, I really enjoy listening to people's issues / problems and then giving them advice. I thought that it would be cool for me to start up an email address to which people could send me their problems / questions / issues. I realize that this is a lot like Yahoo! I know there are some questions that I wouldn't feel wholly comfortable asking on the public boards.
